How to Request Account Deletion

To delete your Snack Break account and associated data, send an email to:

Please use the subject line: “Account Deletion Request

Include the email address associated with your Snack Break account so we can locate your data.

What Data Gets Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data will be permanently removed:

  • Account information — your name, email address, and account profile
  • Purchase history — records of items you’ve scanned and purchased
  • Payment tokens — stored payment method references (actual card data is held by Square and removed separately)
  • App preferences — notification settings and other in-app preferences
  • Digital receipts — all receipt records associated with your account

What We May Retain

Certain data may be retained for legal or regulatory purposes:

  • Transaction records — anonymised financial records may be retained as required by Australian tax law
  • Legal obligations — data required to comply with legal proceedings or regulatory requirements

Deletion Timeline

Once we receive your deletion request, we will:

  1. Confirm receipt of your request within 2 business days
  2. Verify your identity to protect against unauthorised requests
  3. Complete the deletion within 30 days of verification
  4. Send a confirmation email once deletion is complete

Important Note

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You will lose access to your purchase history and digital receipts. If you wish to use Snack Break again after deletion, you will need to create a new account.
